OPEN LETTER TO PDP NATIONAL YOUTH LEADER MUHAMMAD SULEIMAN KADADE

By

SULE SANI SULE

I want to use this medium to extend my greetings and well wishes to my leader, the PDP National Youth Leader. Prince Muhammad Suleiman Kadade, the first Youth leader that is accepted as a Youth by all.

We have played a vital role in the development of youth politics in the entire country. We have in so many interviews in various radio stations, online newspapers and TV channels discuss the relevance of youth leadership in Nigeria. Furthermore, we have challenged our leaders to give youth opportunities for a better tomorrow.

All the youth of Nigeria rejoice and congratulated you without considering any difference. I can recall then we are in APC together with Amb Abdullahi Mukhtar COMA, Abdullahi Sidi Ali among others, but we all congratulated you and send our well-wishes because of brotherhood. I don't know you personally, but I wrote an article to shield you from people who make it a duty to criticize you because of envy or selfish reasons.

The current Youth Leader of the leading party does not have even a quarter

of your influence and opportunity, but we see him mobilizing youth across the country, I saw him in Katsina and many states, but I haven't seen you in any, I am talking about personal visit to discuss with youth wings, associations, and support groups and note their problems for immediate response.

When I am talking about youth, I am referring directly to youth in struggle and not elites. Youth who have the capacity to mobilize youth, strategize and plan ahead. We need door to door mobilization, we need unit to unit mobilization, we need people who can secure polling box and polling unit. We need to win election, not a fantasy show.

It is still not too late, I am appealing to you to come back and do your assignments so that we will be proud of you and also publish a book on your legacies as the youngest youth leader in the history of Nigeria.

Aisha Garba’s Bold Vision for Transforming Basic Education in Nigeria

By Suhaib Auwal   In a country where the foundational pillars of education have long been riddled with structural gaps, funding constraints, and policy inconsistencies, the recent leadership at the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) signals a renewed hope.  Since her appointment as the Executive Secretary of UBEC, Aisha Garba has embarked on a reformist mission that seeks not just to address the surface-level symptoms, but to cure the systemic ailments crippling Nigeria’s basic education sector. At the core of her vision is a comprehensive, inclusive, and technology-driven approach to strengthening basic education delivery. Her leadership style is not only proactive, but it also reflects a deep understanding of Nigeria's complex educational terrain.  With over 17 million children currently out of school, Garba has made it unequivocally clear: this figure is unacceptable, and she intends to drastically reduce it within the shortest possible time. A Three-Pronged V...

Kwankwasiyya Rubble-Rousing Short-Wave Politics

By Aliyu Dalhatu Adamu Department of Sociology, Federal University of Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State. The construction of 85km rural roads was flagged-off by the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Monday 17th June 2024 at Madobi Local Government. The occasion afforded Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 elections, an opportunity to ventilate his feelings on the forces in political contest in Kano State.  Many people believe that Kano is suffering great abuse in the tight grief of Kwankwaso as an alternate, if not the real, governor in his illegal Third Term. In his emotional outburst, the former Presidential candidate alluded to a number of issues, which many see as pointers to the inner workings of his mind, suggesting his political fortunes in the State are nose-diving or in the least taking a big hit. For instance, from the vituperations of Kwankwaso, one can easily understand that, the NNPP, as...
