Responding to the directive given by President Bola Tinubu directing all political appointees contesting for positions in the 2027 elections to resign by March 31, 2026, the Senior Special Assistant on Citizenship and Leadership, Honourable Nasir Bala Aminu, popular called Ja'oji, has tendered his resignation letter.  The Presidential directive applies to Ministers, Ministers of State, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and other officials appointed by the President, who where appointed to contribute their share in the development of the country.  In the letter, he profoundly thanked the President, for giving him the opportunity to serve his motherland, Nigeria. The Coalition of APC Progressive Youths Forum has congratulated Umar Haruna Doguwa on his election as the party’s state chairman. The coalition gave the commendation following what they described as a peaceful and well-organised state congress held at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano. This was contained in a statement issued by the Forum’s Chairman Hon. Sadiq Ali Sango. According to Sango, Doguwa is a seasoned politician with proven track records and strong grassroots mobilisation capacity, which, positions him well to lead the party at this critical time. “We are confident that his experience and commitment to party unity will help strengthen the APC in Kano State,” the statement said.
