Arewa Youth Assembly for Good Leadership in collaboration with Igbo Youth Assembly and Afenifere youth wing, has conferred the award of Youth Mobilizer of the year on the Managing Director Rural Electrification Agency Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad.
The award is in recognition of his zeal and determination to engage youths by mentoring and giving them opportunities to explore their talents and helping them to actualize their dreams.
Speaking to journalists on behalf of the groups, Chairman Arewa Youth Assembly for Good Leadership Amb. Abdul Bature said, they deemed it necessary to confer this award on REA MD Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad due to his track records and unprecedented achievements as an engineer, renewable energy advocate and politician.
He added that Ahmad Salihijo distinguished himself by carrying youths along in all his activities, and how he injected fresh ideas to reposition the Rural Electrification Agency.
“Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad is a young man that we are proud of, he is making us happy with the way he is handling REA, we are not surprised because he is an experienced engineer with vast knowledge in renewable energy”
“So many young men got opportunities like this, but they failed due to lack of exposure and experience, but here is Ahmad Salihijo making a difference, managing critical agencies like REA excellently, and proving his worth.
“We are calling on our fellow young men and women that are opportune to get any appointment copy the style of REA MD, because it will not only help them alone, but the entire youths across our dear country Nigeria.”
In his remarks, the Managing Director Rural Electrification Agency Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad thanked the groups for honoring him the remarkable award, promising to redouble his effort towards youths development.
Assuring that “I will never fail you, I am determined to move REA to an unimaginable level by implementing and executing projects across 36 states of the federation. That would be achieved without your support and prayers. So I urge you to continue supporting and praying for our success.”
