Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad is the current Managing Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). 

He has been serving in this position since his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2020. 

Since then, he has been working diligently to ensure that rural regions of Nigeria have access to electricity.

Under his leadership, the REA has made significant progress in electrifying rural areas of Nigeria.

 In 2021, the agency completed the electrification of 39 communities across the country, providing access to electricity for over 100,000 people. 

This is a remarkable achievement that has helped to improve the lives of many Nigerians.

Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad is also a renewable energy advocate and has been instrumental in promoting the use of solar energy in Nigeria. 

He has helped to operationalize various solar energy projects across the country.

This is an important contribution to Nigeria’s energy sector, as it helps to reduce the country’s dependence on fossil fuels and promotes sustainable development.

In the area of youths development, Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad has been engaging youths in all his activities, by giving them opportunity to showcase their talents, mentoring them, and inspiring them to achieve their desired goals.

He distinguished himself among his peers, having made significant contributions towards actualizing the dream of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2023 general elections.

Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad, adjudged to be the best young appointee, considering his unprecedented achievements and unmatchable track records.

In conclusion, Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad is a dedicated public servant who is making significant contributions to Nigeria’s energy sector. 


His work at the Rural Electrification Agency is helping to improve the lives of many Nigerians by providing access to electricity in rural areas.
