Arewa Youth Assembly Backs Chief of Defence Staff, Slams Critics

The Arewa Youth Assembly for Good Leadership has expressed its support for the chief of Defence Staff and other service chiefs, condemned the calls for their suspension by some groups.


A statement signed by the Speaker of the Arewa Youth Assembly for Good Leadership Ambassador Abdul Danbature said Arewa Economic Forum (AEF) and the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF), which demanded the removal of the service chiefs for their alleged poor performance, were acting in bad faith and were sponsored by enemies of the nation.

He praised the Nigerian Armed Forces under the leadership of General C. G. Musa for their efforts in tackling the security challenges in the country, and said that they had arrested many criminals and bandits across the nation.


Ambassador Abdul Danbature also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for acknowledging the achievements of the service chiefs in combating insecurity in Nigeria, and urged all Nigerians to join hands in ensuring peace and stability in the country.


Adding that "the service chiefs deserved the encouragement of all Nigerians, and that the calls for their suspension were baseless and unpatriotic."


Ambassador Abdul Danbature, vowed to mobilize the youth of Northern Nigeria, regardless of their political affiliation, to support the Nigerian Armed Forces and their leader, General C. G. Musa.
