Arewa Youth commends REA Boss for Rural Electrification and Youth Empowerment

The Arewa Youths Assembly and the National Civil Society Council of Nigeria have commended Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad, the Managing Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), for his outstanding achievements in providing electricity to rural areas of Nigeria and promoting renewable energy. 

They also hailed him as a mentor and a role model for Nigerian youths. 

They made this known during an international press briefing in Abuja, presided over by the Speaker of the Arewa Youths Assembly, Amb. Abdul Danbature.


Amb. Abdul Danbature said Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad has been leading the REA with passion and dedication, executing his mandate with zero tolerance to corruption.

He said Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad has initiated several solar energy projects across the country, diversifying the energy sources and fostering green development. He also said Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad has engaged youths in all his projects, giving them the chance to showcase their skills, learn from him, and pursue their dreams.


Arewa Youth Assembly recalled how Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad supported the political aspirations of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is widely expected to be the next president of Nigeria, and campaigned for APC's success across the country in the 2023 general election.


Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad has been recognized as the best young appointee in the country, owing to his impressive accomplishments and records.
