Arewa Youths Hail CDS Musa for Security Measures, call for calm

The Arewa Youth Assembly for Good Leadership, has applauded the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Major General Christopher Musa, for his efforts to tackle the insecurity situation in the country.


The Speaker of the Assembly, Amb. Abdul Danbature, stated this in a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday. 

He said that the CDS had shown his leadership and professionalism in coordinating the operations of the Nigerian Armed Forces and ensuring collaboration among them.


Danbature commended Musa for initiating and overseeing several security operations and interventions in various parts of the country, especially in the northern region, which he said had been the most affected by terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and other criminal activities.


He also praised the CDS for his role in the implementation of the National Security Strategy, which he said was aimed at enhancing the capacity and capability of the security forces to deal with emerging threats and challenges.

Danbature expressed the confidence of the Arewa youths in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his commitment to restore peace and stability in the country.

He urged the CDS to continue to work with the President and other relevant authorities to ensure the protection of lives and property of Nigerians, especially in the northern region.


He also called on the Arewa youths to support the government and the security agencies in their efforts to combat terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and other criminal activities.

 He appealed to them to shun violence and embrace dialogue as a means of resolving their grievances and differences.
