KNUPDA’s Taskforce Committee Visits Sites to Ensure Adherence to Building Codes

In a bid to ensure the eradication of illegal layouts and enforce building rules and regulations, the taskforce committee set up by the Kano Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA), has embarked on a series of visits to various locations across the state.

Their primary goal is to streamline urban development, enhance infrastructure, and foster compliance with established building codes.

During recent visits to several sites within Kano State, the committees interacted with stakeholders, including property owners, event organizers, and local authorities.

They underscored the importance of adhering to building regulations to ensure safety, structural integrity, and overall urban aesthetics.

The KNUPDA committee, chaired by the KNUPDA Director of Urban Planning TPL Junaidu Abdullahi, emphasizes that unauthorized constructions and encroachments on public spaces have posed challenges to urban planning and development efforts.

By engaging with stakeholders and enforcing regulations, KNUPDA aims to reclaim public assets and ensure that layout designers operate within designated parameters.

The efforts of KNUPDA have been welcomed by residents and business owners who recognize the importance of maintaining a well-organized urban environment.

By enforcing building rules and regulations, the committees aim to mitigate risks associated with substandard construction practices while promoting responsible urban growth.

As the committees continue their work, they have pledged to collaborate closely with local authorities, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders to achieve their objectives.

With the commitment of KNUPDA and its committees, Kano State anticipates significant strides in urban planning, asset management, and regulatory compliance, fostering a conducive environment for residents and businesses alike.

In his emotional outburst, the former Presidential candidate alluded to a number of issues, which many see as pointers to the inner workings of his mind, suggesting his political fortunes in the State are nose-diving or in the least taking a big hit. For instance, from the vituperations of Kwankwaso, one can easily understand that, the NNPP, as...
