New Ambassadors: Arewa Youth Commend Tinubu, Caution Minister on ethnic bias Recruitment

The Coalition of All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth, led by Hon.Mujahid Zaitawa, has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing a significant number of northerners as ambassadors, describing the move as a step towards promoting national unity and inclusivity.

In a statement issued to newsmen in Abuja, Mujahid Zaitawa, praised President Tinubu for recognizing the North's contribution to the country's development and ensuring fair representation in the diplomatic corps.

According to the statement, "We commend President Tinubu for his wisdom in appointing a diverse range of individuals as ambassadors, reflecting the federal character of our great nation. This move demonstrates his commitment to unity and inclusivity, and we urge him to continue on this path."

While commending President Tinubu for his exemplary leadership and commitment to national unity, Hon. Zaitawa lamented the unfortunate actions of Senator Abdul Ningi and the PDP, who prioritize personal interests over the nation's progress.

"A recent visitation by PDP Leader Atiku Abubakar to Abdul Ningi's house testify to that"

"Ningi's suspension from the Senate was a necessary step to maintain the integrity of the institution, and his attempt to garner sympathy is a distraction from the real issues."

The APC, under President Tinubu's guidance, remains dedicated to the well-being of Nigerians, unlike the PDP, which continues to promote divisiveness and selfish agendas.

However, the group cautioned the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo against prioritizing the South in recruitment exercises, warning that such bias could undermine national cohesion and stability.

"We urge the Minister to ensure fairness and equity in all recruitment processes, avoiding any actions that may be perceived as discriminatory or divisive," the statement read.

The association also challenged Senator Kawu Sumaila to stop blaming President Tinubu for the alleged ethnic bias by some government officials, saying the President has demonstrated his commitment to inclusivity through his appointments.

"We urge Senator Sumaila to focus on addressing the issues rather than playing politics with sensitive matters," the statement added.

The Coalition of All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth, led by Hon.Mujahid Zaitawa, reiterated its support for President Tinubu's administration and urged all Nigerians to work towards building a united and prosperous nation.

"We must all strive to promote national unity and progress, rather than perpetuating divisive rhetoric and actions," the statement concluded.

Kwankwasiyya Rubble-Rousing Short-Wave Politics

By Aliyu Dalhatu Adamu Department of Sociology, Federal University of Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State. The construction of 85km rural roads was flagged-off by the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Monday 17th June 2024 at Madobi Local Government. The occasion afforded Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 elections, an opportunity to ventilate his feelings on the forces in political contest in Kano State.  Many people believe that Kano is suffering great abuse in the tight grief of Kwankwaso as an alternate, if not the real, governor in his illegal Third Term. In his emotional outburst, the former Presidential candidate alluded to a number of issues, which many see as pointers to the inner workings of his mind, suggesting his political fortunes in the State are nose-diving or in the least taking a big hit. For instance, from the vituperations of Kwankwaso, one can easily understand that, the NNPP, as...
