Arewa Youth Assembly Lauds NSCDC's Security Initiatives Under Dr. Audi

The Arewa Youth Assembly has expressed its appreciation for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and its leader, Commandant General Dr. Abubakar Audi, for their relentless efforts in combating the nation's escalating security challenges.


During a recent visit to the NSCDC's Abuja headquarters, Ambassador Abdulhameed Danbature, the leader of the youth assembly, conveyed the group's support and discussed strategies to bolster security, particularly in Nigeria's northern regions.


Ambassador Danbature praised the NSCDC's dedication to national security, stating, "We are thoroughly impressed by your dedication to addressing insecurity in our beloved country. We commend the excellent work you've done and offer our unwavering support to your mission of safeguarding our citizens and their properties."


Dr. Abubakar Audi, in turn, shared the NSCDC's key achievements under his tenure over the past year, including the promotion of more than 20,000 staff members and the recruitment of over 10,000 young individuals. 


He also noted the successful dismantling of over 200 illicit refineries and the training of upwards of 15,000 specialized force members.


Further, Dr. Audi detailed the NSCDC's current operations focused on disbanding terrorist factions and criminal networks, as well as community outreach programs designed to foster trust and intelligence gathering. 

He emphasized the importance of training initiatives aimed at boosting the skills and efficiency of the corps' personnel.


In acknowledgment of Dr. Audi's significant contributions to reducing youth unemployment, the Arewa Youth Assembly honored him with the title of 'Icon of Youth Employment.'


The engagement between the Arewa Youth Assembly and the NSCDC was viewed as a constructive move in confronting the security issues plaguing the region, with the assembly extending its commendation to the NSCDC for its proactive measures in the fight against insecurity.
