APC Youths Says Ex-Governor El-Rufai's Meeting With Kwankwaso Is Plot To Unseat Tinubu

The Chairman of Arewa APC Merger Group ,Hon. Musa Mujahid Zaitawa, has condemned the recent meeting between former Kano governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and former Kaduna governor, Nasir El- Rufai.

The meeting, which took place in Abuja on Thursday, reportedly focused on forging a political alliance ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 elections, met with El-Rufai, an All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, in what appears to be a strategic move aimed at consolidating support and influencing the political landscape.

Zaitawa alleged that the meeting

between Kwankwaso and E-Rufai was

purportedly targeted at President Bola

Tinubu, and it potentially reshaped the alliances and strategies among political players leading up to 2027.

Kwankwaso, in a recent post on X, said, "l was pleased to make a cordial

visit to my former colleague, H.E.

Nasir El-Rufai, at his residence in

Abuja today."

Recently, El-Rufai has embarked on a

series of political visits in recent

weeks. He also paid a courtesy call on

former President Muhammadu Buhari

at his Daura country home in Katsina

State.

However, Shehu Sani, the former

Senator representing Kaduna Central

Senatorial District in the 8th National

Assembly, described Atiku and El-

Rufai's visits to Buhari, as a plot to

unseat Tinubu in 2027.

Hon. Musa Mujahid Zaitawa while reacting to the Thursday meeting between Kwankwaso and EI-Rufai, told journalists that, "Well, EI-Rufai has the fundamental right to relate and visit whoever he chooses. However, the visits which are being embarked upon by the opposition party members certainly have political undertones.

A Three-Pronged V...

Kwankwasiyya Rubble-Rousing Short-Wave Politics

By Aliyu Dalhatu Adamu Department of Sociology, Federal University of Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State. The construction of 85km rural roads was flagged-off by the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Monday 17th June 2024 at Madobi Local Government. The occasion afforded Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 elections, an opportunity to ventilate his feelings on the forces in political contest in Kano State.  Many people believe that Kano is suffering great abuse in the tight grief of Kwankwaso as an alternate, if not the real, governor in his illegal Third Term. In his emotional outburst, the former Presidential candidate alluded to a number of issues, which many see as pointers to the inner workings of his mind, suggesting his political fortunes in the State are nose-diving or in the least taking a big hit. For instance, from the vituperations of Kwankwaso, one can easily understand that, the NNPP, as...
