Coalition of APC Kano Youth Unveiled with Adamu Unguwar Gini as Chairman

In a significant move aimed at uniting and stabilizing the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano, the Coalition of APC Kano Youth Forum has been officially unveiled with Adamu Mukhtar Unguwar Gini appointed as its chairman.

Adamu Mukhtar Unguwar Gini is a veteran youth activist with exceptional leadership qualities and proven track records.

He is currently the chief protocol of the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, after he held several positions when Ganduje was Kano state governor.

The initiative seeks to bring together APC youths across the state to confront the challenges the party faces as an opposition in Kano.

During an exclusive interview, the Chairman of the Forum's Advisory Committee, Ibrahim Mu'azzam Madaki, emphasized their commitment to charting a new course for the young people within the party.

"We are dedicated to reconciling aggrieved members and repositioning the party for future successes," Madaki stated.

He further elaborated on the Forum's objectives, saying, "Our mission is to foster unity among the APC youths, provide a platform for their voices to be heard, and ensure they play an active role in the party's activities. By engaging the youth, we aim to rejuvenate the party with fresh ideas and energy."

Madaki also highlighted the importance of addressing internal conflicts and grievances.

"Reconciliation is a critical aspect of our agenda. We understand that internal disputes can weaken our party's structure, and we are committed to resolving these issues through dialogue and understanding," he explained.

"We are not only focused on the present but are also working towards building a sustainable future for the APC in Kano by nurturing young leaders who can take the mantle of leadership."

Following the unveiling ceremony, the Coalition engaged in a series of visits to key APC stakeholders and leaders in Kano and Abuja.

These visits are part of their strategic efforts to foster unity and garner support from influential figures within the party.

Madaki noted, "Our visits to stakeholders are crucial in demonstrating our commitment to the party's values and our willingness to work collaboratively for its success. We believe that by building strong relationships with party leaders, we can create a cohesive and effective team."

Notably, the Coalition recently met with the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin.

These high-level engagements underscore the Forum's proactive approach in stabilizing and strengthening the party at both state and national levels.

"Meeting with Chairman Ganduje and Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin was a significant step in our efforts to gain support and guidance from experienced leaders. Their insights and advice will be invaluable as we move forward," Madaki added.

As the APC navigates its role in the opposition, the Coalition of APC Kano Youth Forum is poised to play a crucial role in ensuring the party's resilience and growth through youth engagement and leadership.

"We are optimistic about the future of the APC in Kano. With the energy and enthusiasm of the youth, combined with the wisdom of our senior leaders, we are confident that we can overcome any challenges and emerge stronger," Madaki concluded.

The Coalition of APC Kano Youth Forum is set to embark on various initiatives aimed at empowering the youth, fostering political education, and enhancing the party's grassroots presence.

Their efforts are expected to contribute significantly to the party's revitalization and long-term success in Kano.

Kwankwasiyya Rubble-Rousing Short-Wave Politics

By Aliyu Dalhatu Adamu Department of Sociology, Federal University of Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State. The construction of 85km rural roads was flagged-off by the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Monday 17th June 2024 at Madobi Local Government. The occasion afforded Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 elections, an opportunity to ventilate his feelings on the forces in political contest in Kano State.  Many people believe that Kano is suffering great abuse in the tight grief of Kwankwaso as an alternate, if not the real, governor in his illegal Third Term. In his emotional outburst, the former Presidential candidate alluded to a number of issues, which many see as pointers to the inner workings of his mind, suggesting his political fortunes in the State are nose-diving or in the least taking a big hit. For instance, from the vituperations of Kwankwaso, one can easily understand that, the NNPP, as...
