Ja'o'ji Lauds President Tinubu’s Address Amidst Nationwide Protests

The Ja'o'ji Organization, under the leadership of Hon Nasiru Bala Aminu Ja'o'ji, has expressed its commendation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent nationwide broadcast addressing the ongoing protests across various states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

In a statement released on Sunday, Hon Nasiru Bala Aminu Ja'o'ji praised President Tinubu for his responsiveness and the clarity with which he communicated his administration's efforts to alleviate the nation’s challenges.

The President’s speech, according to Ja'o'ji, underscored his democratic values and humane approach to governance, showcasing numerous achievements and a commitment to transparency.

“President Tinubu’s address highlights the administration's dedication to the well-being of all Nigerians, revealing significant progress in various sectors,” the statement read.

“His acknowledgment of the right to protest, coupled with the emphasis on the protection of lives and properties, reflects responsible leadership by all standards.”

The organization particularly noted President Tinubu’s concern over the destruction in states like Borno, Jigawa, Kano, and Kaduna, commending his empathetic response to these incidents.

Hon Nasiru Bala Aminu Ja'o'ji emphasized the federal government's fiscal achievements, citing the increase in aggregate revenues to over 9.1 trillion Naira in the first half of 2024, a significant rise from the previous year. Additionally, he highlighted the reduction in debt service expenditure from 97% to 68% over the past 13 months.

The statement also celebrated the federal government's initiatives aimed at empowering youth and fostering economic growth. These include the $620 million secured under the Digital and Creative Enterprise (IDiCE) to create IT and technical jobs, the release of over N750 million to support livelihood projects across the 36 states, and the payment of N1 billion to large manufacturers to stimulate growth through single-digit loans.

In addressing housing deficits, President Tinubu’s inauguration of the Renewed Hope City and Estate in Karsana, Abuja, was lauded. The project, comprising 500 housing units, is the first phase of an ambitious plan to build 100,000 units across the nation’s six geo-political zones.

Agricultural advancements were also recognized, with the President's procurement of mechanized farming equipment from the USA, Belarus, and Brazil expected to boost productivity.

The Ja'o'ji Organization urged Nigerians to support these governmental initiatives and called on protesters to engage in dialogue.

Kwankwasiyya Rubble-Rousing Short-Wave Politics

By Aliyu Dalhatu Adamu Department of Sociology, Federal University of Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State. The construction of 85km rural roads was flagged-off by the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Monday 17th June 2024 at Madobi Local Government. The occasion afforded Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 elections, an opportunity to ventilate his feelings on the forces in political contest in Kano State.  Many people believe that Kano is suffering great abuse in the tight grief of Kwankwaso as an alternate, if not the real, governor in his illegal Third Term. In his emotional outburst, the former Presidential candidate alluded to a number of issues, which many see as pointers to the inner workings of his mind, suggesting his political fortunes in the State are nose-diving or in the least taking a big hit. For instance, from the vituperations of Kwankwaso, one can easily understand that, the NNPP, as...
