APC Youth Urges President Tinubu to Appoint Nasir Jaoji as Minister

The Coalition of APC Progressive Youths has made a passionate appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider the appointment of Hon. Nasir Jaoji as a federal minister, describing him as "useful, resourceful, and far ahead of all current federal appointees from Kano State."

In a statement issued in Kaduna, the coalition praised Jaoji as a renowned and respected youth leader of great substance, whose impact and contributions to humanity have resonated well beyond Kano State, his home state.

According to the group, Jaoji’s record in philanthropy, education, and grassroots mobilisation stands as a rare example of committed service to both community and country.

“We, as progressive youths of the All Progressives Congress, have come to a consensus that Hon. Nasir Jaoji represents the kind of dynamic leadership this administration needs. If it takes replacing a current appointee from Kano to make room for Jaoji, so be it,” the statement read.

Highlighting his numerous philanthropic activities, the coalition noted Jaoji’s scholarship programmes that have benefitted students both within Nigeria and abroad. They lauded his patriotic drive and support for the APC’s policy direction, stating that "his unwavering loyalty to President Tinubu and the party is second to none."

As a current member of a federal governing council, Jaoji is said to have demonstrated more impactful service than many serving ministers from Kano State. The coalition praised his "cutting-edge programmes built on global best practices", especially in areas of youth inclusion, women empowerment, and national integration.

“He is a household name in party politics, with unmatched grassroots support and an enduring love for the party's survival. His interventions are being felt across the North,” the youth coalition added.

The Coalition of APC Progressive Youths concluded by urging President Tinubu to consider the long-term value of Nasir Jaoji's inclusion in the federal cabinet, describing the move as a bold step toward "rewarding merit, capacity, and loyalty."

By Aliyu Dalhatu Adamu Department of Sociology, Federal University of Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State. The construction of 85km rural roads was flagged-off by the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Monday 17th June 2024 at Madobi Local Government. The occasion afforded Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 elections, an opportunity to ventilate his feelings on the forces in political contest in Kano State.  Many people believe that Kano is suffering great abuse in the tight grief of Kwankwaso as an alternate, if not the real, governor in his illegal Third Term. In his emotional outburst, the former Presidential candidate alluded to a number of issues, which many see as pointers to the inner workings of his mind, suggesting his political fortunes in the State are nose-diving or in the least taking a big hit. For instance, from the vituperations of Kwankwaso, one can easily understand that, the NNPP, as...
