Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad is the current Managing Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).  He has been serving in this position since his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2020.  Since then, he has been working diligently to ensure that rural regions of Nigeria have access to electricity. Under his leadership, the REA has made significant progress in electrifying rural areas of Nigeria.  In 2021, the agency completed the electrification of 39 communities across the country, providing access to electricity for over 100,000 people.  This is a remarkable achievement that has helped to improve the lives of many Nigerians.  By Suhaib Auwal In a commendable initiative aimed at enhancing the culinary skills of aspiring chefs and improving school meals across Kano State, the National Home Growth School Feeding Program has successfully trained 44 master cooks who will now impart their expertise to other cooks under their local governments. The cooks underwent intensive training in various aspects of cooking and nutrition.  The comprehensive curriculum covered a wide range of topics, including food safety, menu planning, dietary requirements, and efficient kitchen management. Speaking at the training, the focal person of the National Social Investment Program in Kano Alhaji Muhammad Suraj said, the initiative aimed to equip them with the necessary skills to enhance the quality and nutritional value of meals served in schools 44 local government areas of Kano state.
