Hajiya Halima Shehu Delivers on Promise, As FG Pays N24 Billion to Npower Beneficiaries

  The federal government has finally paid the arrears of Npower beneficiaries, who have been waiting for months to receive their stipends. The payment was facilitated by the National Coordinator of Social Investment Programs Hajiya Halima Shehu through the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs. Npower is a social intervention scheme initiated by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2016, to address the problem of youth unemployment and enhance social development. The scheme has six categories: N-Teach, N-Health, N-Agro, N-Build, N-Creative and N-Tech. The beneficiaries are paid a monthly stipend of N30,000. However, the scheme has been plagued by delays and irregularities in the payment of stipends, leaving many beneficiaries frustrated and aggrieved. Arewa Youth Assembly condemns military bombing of Kaduna villagers during Maulud

  The Arewa Youth Assembly for Good Leadership has condemned the killing of innocent people in Kaduna State as the Nigerian military allegedly bombed villagers during the Maulud celebration. According to reports, the military launched airstrikes on suspected bandits' hideouts in Tudun Biri in Igabi local government area of Kaduna State, but some of the bombs hit nearby villages where people were celebrating the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). In a statement signed by National Chairman Arewa Youth Assembly Abdul Danbature, and made available to newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday, described the incident as "unacceptable, barbaric and inhuman".  In a compelling display of advocacy, the Arewa Youth Assembly for Good Leadership commended President Bola Tinubu for including Engr.
