61st Independence: Maliyan Gwale calls for Unity among Nigerians

Hon. Dr Baffa Dandatti (Maliyan Gwale) congratulates Nigerians on the occasion of the 61st Independence Day celebrations.

Maliyan Gwale said "On this special day here’s wishing our dreams of a new tomorrow come true. May your Independence day be filled with patriotic spirit. Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country. We must remain one."

He added that "I will always be a true and loyal citizen of this country. I will love my country and make it a better place to live in. No nation is perfect, it needs to be made perfect. Contribute towards the perfection of your Nation-state."

Emphasizing "I believe in a Nigeria of pluralism and diversity, not of religious bigotry and ethnicity politics. I believe in a Nigeria that is secure in itself and confident of its place in the world, a Nigeria that is a proud example of tolerance, freedom and hope for the downtrodden."

"Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all other countries because you were born in it. I will make sure I uphold and defend the unity of this Nation." He concluded.
