In a bid to ensure the eradication of illegal layouts and enforce building rules and regulations, the taskforce committee set up by the Kano Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA), has embarked on a series of visits to various locations across the state. The Arewa Youths Assembly, a coalition of northern youths, has expressed its appreciation to the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibril, for his initiatives to boost the Nigerian economy and alleviate the hardship of the people amid the global economic crisis. The group's Leader, Hon. Mujahid Zaitawa, said in a statement released to the press in Abuja that Senator Barau Jibril has shown his commitment and resolve to help Nigerians cope with the inflation caused by the high exchange rate of the dollar.   By Suhaib Auwal  The Group General Manager of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPC-L), Mele Kolo Kyari, has received a vote of confidence from a coalition of civil society groups and ex-militant leaders from across the country.  The groups also endorsed Amb. Abdul Dambature, the President of Arewa Youths for Good Leadership, as the National Coordinator of the Almagametion of Civil Society Groups in Nigeria.
