Budget Padding: Arewa Youths Condemn Senator’s Ningi's Suspension, Demand Withdrawal

Arewa Youths Assembly for Good Leadership has condemned the Senate's decision to suspend Senator Abdul Ningi for exposing padding in the 2024 budget presented to the National Assembly, by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

President of the Arewa Youths Assembly, Ambassador Abdul Danbature, expressed vehement disapproval of the Senate's action in a press statement issued to journalists in Abuja.

Ambassador Danbature asserted that Senator Ningi's suspension was unjust and called for its immediate withdrawal.

He emphasized the need for a transparent explanation from the Senate regarding the serious allegations of budget padding brought to light by Senator Ningi.

Furthermore, Ambassador Danbature issued a rallying cry to Northern Senators, urging them to stand in solidarity and oppose the suspension of their colleague.

He emphasized the importance of unity in the face of such actions, stressing that the Northern Senators must prioritize the interests of the people above partisan politics.
