A Misguided Priority: The New National Anthem Bill is an Insult to Nigerians

At a time when our nation is grappling with unprecedented socio-economic crises, our lawmakers have chosen to prioritize a symbolic gesture over substantive solutions. Kawu Sumaila affirms budget padding, accuses Tinubu for Insecurity

Senator Sulaiman Abdurrahman Kawu Sumaila, representing Kano South, has strongly criticized the government of President Bola Tinubu for its failure to protect the lives and property of Nigerian citizens.  The Nation Newspaper reports that Senator Sumaila made the assertion in an interview with an online television station in Kano.
