Ogan Boye Flags Off ₦60 Million Empowerment Program

 

In a landmark move to promote self-reliance and economic growth among the youth, the Chairman of Nassarawa Local Government Area, Amb. Yusuf Ogan Boye, has disbursed ₦60 million for an empowerment program that has benefitted over 200residents.

The initiative, which underscores Ogan Boye's commitment to grassroots development, provided beneficiaries with a range of support items and cash incentives, tailored to their specific needs.




Among the distributed items were motorcycles, tire repair machines, while others received financial support of ₦500,000, ₦300,000, and ₦200,000 to support their businesses or vocational pursuits.

Speaking at the event, Ogan Boye highlighted his administration’s determination to foster self-reliance among young men and women in the local government.


"This initiative is part of our concerted efforts to empower our people and equip them with the tools to build successful careers. I urge all beneficiaries to use this support wisely, invest in their futures, and contribute positively to the community’s development."

Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude, noting that the empowerment program was a life-changing opportunity to achieve financial independence.

The empowerment initiative is expected to stimulate local economic activities and reduce unemployment rates, aligning with Hon. Boye’s broader vision of building a prosperous and self-sufficient Nassarawa Local Government Area.
