The Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, has commended the Arewa Women for Tinubu and Shettima for their pivotal role in ensuring the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2023 General Elections.

He lauded their dedication to the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emphasizing that their efforts have strengthened democracy and inspired women and youth to actively engage in nation-building.

Senator Barau made these remarks during the official launch of the Sa’a Dogonbauchi Foundation and the empowerment initiative for the Arewa Women for Tinubu and Shettima.

The event, held at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja, was a celebration of resilience, unity, and the power of collective purpose in driving positive change.

Represented by the Managing Director of the Northwest Development Commission, Professor Shehu Abdullahi Ma’aji, Senator Barau stated that the launch of the Sa’a Dogonbauchi Foundation marked a significant milestone in humanitarian service.

He described the foundation, founded by Hon. Sa’adatu Garba Dogonbauchi, as a non-partisan organization committed to uplifting vulnerable communities, particularly women and youth, through empowerment programs and sustainable support systems.

“The establishment of the Sa’a Dogonbauchi Foundation is a testament to the power of visionary leadership and commitment to social welfare. It aligns perfectly with my personal and legislative commitment to promoting education, empowering women, and advancing community development,” Senator Barau stated.

DISRESPECTING COURT ORDER REGARDING KANO EMIRATE CRISIS

By Dr. Usman Suleiman Sarki Law and order are the bedrock of harmonious living in every human society.  This necessitated the establishment of judicial system responsible for the enforcement of law and order as well as the settlement of disputes between parties.  One most important organ of the judiciary is the Court that determines cases brought before it using appropriate legal procedures. In an effort to ensure the proper discharge of its duties, the court gives order(s) to individuals, group, organizations/institutions and state mandating them to refrain or undertake an action before or after judgement. In line with the above, a federal high court sitting in Kano received a petition seeking for its intervention on matters relating Kano Emirate Crisis as the state House of Assembly passed a bill for the dissolution of the Five Emirates in the state where the court gives an order restraining the Kano state Governor from assenting a bill into and implementing the...
