The Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, has commended the Arewa Women for Tinubu and Shettima for their pivotal role in ensuring the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2023 General Elections.
He lauded their dedication to the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emphasizing that their efforts have strengthened democracy and inspired women and youth to actively engage in nation-building.
Senator Barau made these remarks during the official launch of the Sa’a Dogonbauchi Foundation and the empowerment initiative for the Arewa Women for Tinubu and Shettima.
The event, held at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja, was a celebration of resilience, unity, and the power of collective purpose in driving positive change.
Represented by the Managing Director of the Northwest Development Commission, Professor Shehu Abdullahi Ma’aji, Senator Barau stated that the launch of the Sa’a Dogonbauchi Foundation marked a significant milestone in humanitarian service.
He described the foundation, founded by Hon. Sa’adatu Garba Dogonbauchi, as a non-partisan organization committed to uplifting vulnerable communities, particularly women and youth, through empowerment programs and sustainable support systems.
“The establishment of the Sa’a Dogonbauchi Foundation is a testament to the power of visionary leadership and commitment to social welfare. It aligns perfectly with my personal and legislative commitment to promoting education, empowering women, and advancing community development,” Senator Barau stated.
He further highlighted the significance of such initiatives in fostering inclusive growth and social transformation. Drawing parallels to his own Barau I. Jibrin Foundation (BIJF), he reiterated the importance of collaboration between government, private institutions, and grassroots organizations in driving impactful change.
The event was attended by key political figures, civil society representatives, and members of the Arewa Women for Tinubu and Shettima.
In her remarks, Hon. Sa’adatu Garba Dogonbauchi expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and reaffirmed her commitment to championing the cause of women and youth in Nigeria.
