In a significant move to boost development in the North-West region of Nigeria, the Managing Director/CEO of the North-West Development Commission (NWDC) Prof. Shehu Abdullahi Ma'aji met with Mr. Ren Shaoshuai, Executive Director of the Northern Regional Office of China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), to explore partnership opportunities aimed at enhancing infrastructure and investment.
During the high-level meeting, both leaders discussed potential areas of collaboration, with a strong focus on infrastructure development, investment facilitation, and the transfer of technical expertise.

Mr. Ren highlighted CCECC’s extensive experience in large-scale engineering projects across Nigeria and reaffirmed the corporation’s interest in supporting initiatives that would drive socioeconomic transformation in the North-West.
The meeting marks a step forward in strengthening ties between Nigeria and China, with further engagements expected in the coming weeks to solidify areas of cooperation and advance mutual development goals.
