The association for the Welfare of Poor and Vulnerable Nigerians (AWPON) has warned Kano Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf over his comments against the federal government's plan to distribute five hundred billion naira as palliatives for the removal of fuel subsidy. This was contained in a statement signed by the National Coordinator of AWPON Sambo Dogo, and made available to newsmen in Abuja. Sambo Dogo said it is unbecoming of a state government like Kano to make such comments on federal government policy which tends to ease hardship caused by removal of fuel subsidy. According to him, the governor of Kano did not understand how the federal government intended to distribute the palliatives, that is why he is against the sharing formula. The youths believe that Senator Lado is the most competent and suitable candidate to represent Kano in the Tinubu’s cabinet, considering antecedents and his track records.
